Responsibilities:

The Clinical Learning Specialist supports the design, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of learning programs aligned with the MJHS Academy and organizational workforce development strategy. This role is responsible for executing structured learning initiatives across clinical and non-clinical populations, facilitating a range of educational programs, and supporting career pathway and pipeline development efforts.

A key function of this role includes coordination of the MJHS Professional Preceptorship Program, serving as a liaison between internal staff, clinical leadership, and external academic partners to ensure a high-quality experiential learning environment.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Learning & Career Development, this role partners with Human Resources, clinical leadership, and operational teams to implement learning solutions that enhance employee capability, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

1.    Responsibility: Learning Program Delivery & Facilitation

  • Deliver engaging training sessions across onboarding, clinical education, leadership development, and professional skills programs
  • Apply adult learning principles to ensure learner engagement and knowledge retention
  • Adapt facilitation approach to meet the needs of diverse audiences and learning environments
  • Support the continuous improvement of facilitation quality through participant feedback and evaluation data

2.    Responsibility: Professional Preceptorship Program Coordination

  • Partner with clinical leadership to identify, onboard, and support preceptors across service lines
  • Coordinate learner placements and monitor progress throughout the preceptorship experience
  • Serve as liaison between employees, preceptors, and academic partners to ensure program alignment and effectiveness
  • Track program outcomes, participation, and completion data to support workforce planning and retention strategies
    Ensure program adherence to organizational policies, academic requirements, and regulatory standards


3.    Responsibility: Curriculum & Instructional Design

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership to design, develop, update and refine training content
  • Apply instructional design principles to support effective learning solutions
  • Contribute to or own the development of new programs aligned with organizational priorities and Academy offerings as assigned
  • Ensure learning materials reflect current policies, procedures, and best practices


4.    Responsibility: Stakeholder Collaboration & Learning Needs Support

  • Collaborate with Human Resources, clinical leadership, and department managers to support training initiatives
  • Assist in identifying learning needs and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Support organizational initiatives through targeted learning interventions
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

5. Responsibility: Learning Program Operations

  • Manage logistics for training programs including scheduling, participant communications and more
  • Track attendance, completion, and program data using LMS
  • Maintain accurate program documentation and reporting
  • Ensure consistency and standardization of learning materials and delivery processes
  • Perform established evaluation and continuous improvement practices of learning programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, required
  • Must possess a minimum of four years of experience coordinating and providing education and/or training in a corporate setting
  • Management skills for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of education and organizational development skills necessary to coordinate and manage teaching programs for staff and group facilitation skills required
  • Experience in analysis and instructional design is required
  • Must have a broad general knowledge and understanding of learning theories, facilitation and training skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, computer, technology, and presentation skills required, with an overall knowledge of sound business training and development practices
