Responsibilities:

The Learning Design & Impact Specialist, reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning & Development, ensures the application of instructional design best practices across MJHS Academy, guiding the development of learning solutions that align with adult learning principles and enable measurable outcomes.

This individual is also responsible for executing the organization’s learning measurement and evaluation approach, applying frameworks such as Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation, Phillips’s and supporting ROI analysis.

1) Responsibility: Instructional Design

•    Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of organizational learning programs,

     ensuring alignment to business outcomes and learner needs
•    Establish and reinforce instructional design standards and best practices across MJHS Academy
•    Ensure all learning solutions are designed with clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and aligned evaluation strategies
•    Provide direction and oversight to instructional design efforts, including reviewing and approving curriculum,

      content structure, and learning approaches
•    Design, develop and update learning materials aligned to defined learning objectives
•    Collaborate with MJHS Academy colleagues to incorporate evaluation checkpoints into program design
•    Ensures accredited content meets guiding principles and requirements of respective accrediting body.

2. Responsibility: Learning Measurement & Evaluation Execution

•    Execute established evaluation frameworks and plans 
•    Apply Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels across assigned programs
•    Develop and administer surveys (Level 1 & 3), knowledge checks and assessments (Level 2)
•    Partner with LOB to tie learning objectives to business outcomes in a measurable approach
•    Support ROI data collection for targeted initiatives
•    Embed measurement strategies into program delivery from the outset
•    Maintain standardized evaluation templates and tools
•    Support business units and L&D teams in implementing evaluation activities

3. Responsibility: Data Analysis, Reporting & Visualization

•    Analyze learning and performance data to identify trends and insights
•    Produce dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
•    Translate findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders

4. Responsibility: Facilitation & Learning Delivery

•    Facilitate professional development training sessions (virtual and in-person) as assigned
•    Deliver content with a focus on learner engagement and knowledge transfer
•    Use facilitation insights to inform evaluation findings and continuous improvement
•    Maintain favorable facilitator evaluation scores

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources or related field required. Experience in needs analysis and instructional design required.
  • Additional education/training in learning theory and methodology preferred.
  • Must possess a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in L&D including:
    • Experience in instructional design/content development (required)
    • Hands-on experience in learning evaluation and measurement (required)
    • Experience facilitating training (required) in a corporate setting
  • A broad general knowledge and understanding of learning theories, facilitation and training skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of learning measurement and evaluation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer, technology, literacy.
