Under the direction of the AVP of Sales Operations, the Assistant Director will provide leadership and manage the overall sales support staff including sales operations, workflow/processes, internal auditing, data analysis/reporting and call center training/coaching collaborations. They will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of operations within the Elderplan Sales Department.

The role will also oversee sales support staff and day to day operations at Elderplan community centers. They will also initiate and perform audits and ongoing training of the Elderplan sales process as defined by the AVP of Sales Operations and SVP of Business Development & Growth to assure compliance with governmental regulations.

The Manager must demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Elderplan/Homefirst sales process as well as compliance regulations, MLTC, and Medicare Advantage & Part D regulations to effectively perform monitoring and reporting duties that support the goals of the Sales Department. The Assistant Director must keep themselves up to date on all regulatory changes and create appropriate training aids to assure compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Sales Operations team, ensuring effective support of Sales and Marketing functions. Drive a high-performance culture through structured onboarding, coaching, continuous training, and professional development initiatives aligned with organizational goals
  • Direct the operations and compliance of Community-based sales offices, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory adherence, and alignment with outreach strategies. Oversee the community engagement staff as well as complete understanding of Member services policy and procedures.
  • Design, implement, and optimize performance measurement frameworks, dashboards, and reporting systems. Ensure adherence to organizational processes and regulatory requirements (Medicare, DOH), while delivering actionable, data-driven insights to support sales campaigns and executive decision-making. 
  • Partner with Salesforce and Information Systems teams to lead ongoing system enhancements, streamline sales processes, and integrate new technologies. Establish and maintain best practices for sales enablement and ensure data integrity across all reporting platforms. 
  • Lead advanced analytics on sales performance, consumer behavior, and campaign effectiveness. Translate findings into strategic recommendations that improve conversion rates, optimize resource allocation, and drive business growth. 
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in Medicare guidelines, Department of Health (DOH) regulations, HIPAA, and other applicable federal and state requirements. Ensure full compliance with all sales operation’s activities. 
  • Oversee workforce planning, productivity management, and resource allocation. Develop forecasts and contribute to annual budgeting processes to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Serve as a senior liaison across Sales, Marketing, Enrollment, Member Operations, Clinical, Compliance, and other departments to drive cross-functional alignment and execution of key initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic sales operations initiatives that support organizational growth, market expansion, and evolving business needs. 
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives, including automation and workflow optimization, to enhance efficiency, scalability, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts in partnership with Human Resources, including interviewing, selection, and onboarding of high-performing team members.
  • Oversee data quality and coding accuracy processes, ensuring identification and correction of anomalies such as under/over-coding, outdated codes, and data entry errors prior to billing.
  • Leverage cross-functional corporate resources (HR, Compliance, Legal, Finance, IT, Marketing) to support operational objectives and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance of the Elderplan fleet of Community Outreach Vehicles.

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.

•    5 or more years of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in sales-related areas.
•    2 years of management experience.
•    Understanding of MTLC, Medicare Advantage and Part D laws and regulations required.
•    Experience in an auditing environment is helpful.

•    Proficient with MS Office and Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
