Responsibilities:

The Managed Care Specialist provides overall clerical support for the Clinical Services Department.  Responsibilities include all support for chart maintenance and retention (including filing, scanning, and record processing into the case management and/or scanning database), employee record maintenance and filing, employee payroll activities, maintenance of Excel logs for employee personal time, report generation, and date entry/authorization entry as dictated by unit workflows.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Provides support for all correspondence to and from the Clinical Services Department including physician notifications, interim orders, organization determination letters, and assessment information.
  • Maintains unit supplies and processes all requests for additional equipment/supplies through purchasing department, using agency protocols
  • Maintains all member clinical records through scanning process, attachments of records into case management system, chart room filing, and off-site storage
  • Performs all other administrative tasks deemed necessary under the direction of the Supervisor UM Support.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required

  • Experience in a health care organization preferred

  • Basic proficiency with Excel, Word and typing required
