Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily management and oversight of all supportive services for the Coordinated Care Department including the daily operations of the Support Services team, Health Risk Assessment process, Uniform Assessment System – New York (UAS –NY) processing/data input and timekeeping
  • Responsible for the quality and integrity of the care management records and delivery of various covered and non-covered services
  • Accountable for member experience and provision of service excellence by the teams reporting up to the Manager of the teams
  • Provides oversight for employee orientation, training, and education of Support staff within the Coordinated Care team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of previous management experience
  • 3-5 year of previous managed care experience 
  • Prior experience in a health care setting preferred
  • Familiarity with utilization management processes preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and care management/utilization management software systems
  • Excellent customer service, oral communication, writing, and typing skills
  • Ability to demonstrate effective critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage and implement multiple performance enhancement projects
  • Excellent technical and database skills
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations, managed care regulations and concepts, and CQI methodologies
  • Ability to provide appropriate support and direction to facilitate collaborative efforts toward accomplishing Department goals and objectives
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Able to motivate for effective team building
  • Uses data to effectively oversee and improve operational efficiencies
