Responsibilities:
Treat and manage the long-term care issues, and sub-acute care needs, etc of the patients/residents to assure quality of care within standard medical practice. Serves as a resource for professional staff and trainees; supervises when applicable.
Qualifications:
Medical Degree in Medicine and completion of a training program in a primary care specialty required. Long-term care experience preferred. Some experience with geriatric patients preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and e-mail. Ability to operate medical equipment. Current NYS License to practice Medicine. Board Certified in Primary care specialty preferred. Certificate of added qualifications in geriatrics preferred ACLS/BCLS Certification. Excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally. Excellent documentation skills. Good organization skills. Analytical, critical thinking, managing, coordinating and prioritizing skills. Ability to secure confidential matters. Excellent Interpersonal skills.
