Responsibilities:

Provides technical guidance and administrative support for the overall operation of the Housekeeping Department to ensure the maintenance of a clean, safe and comfortable physical environment for residents, employees and visitors, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and policies and procedures set by the facility.

Assigns daily work assignments and monitors staff completion of daily work assignments.

  • Conduct daily rounds to observe work in progress
  • Reports concerns regarding quality of work to the director immediately.
  • Documents hazardous and unsafe conditions
  • Documents issues and follows up with employee

Completes the onboarding of all new Hskp Aide

  • Conducts a department specific orientation and reviews the job description
  • Conducts tour of the facility
  • Completes a competency exercise at the completion of 30 days

Conduct and participate in in-service and job training programs.

  • Conduct training programs and demonstrate new equipment methods to staff as needed.
  • Present mandatory in-services to staff annually.
  • Schedule staff to attend mandatory in-services annually.

Completes and submits accidents/incident reports.

  • Reports are completed immediately upon notification.
  • Investigations (if necessary) are completed and documented.
  • Completed document is submitted to the Director

Qualifications:

Associates degree in a related field preferred.

2 years of related experience with progressive responsibilities. 2 years in a health care facility.

Advanced skills in housekeeping equipment and chemicals

Good skills in Microsoft word, excel and e-mail.

Ability to secure confidential matters

Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
