Responsibilities:

In a collaborative practice with the Chief Nursing Officer assumes responsibility for the day-today operation of the departmental. Provides guidance, training, on-going supervision and evaluation of staff. Serves as a clinical and administrative resource for the staff and is available to residents and their designated representative.

Qualifications:

  • BSN required
  • Masters in Nursing preferred
  • Five years supervisory experience, preferably in a Long Term Care setting
  • Current RN License
  • Certification in Gerontological Nursing/Administration preferred
  • Management and Supervisory ability
  • Problem solving ability
  • Demonstrates excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Vision in planning and adaptable to change
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuing profession development
  • Interest in research and development.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, ADL, ANSOS or similar systems.
